Privacy Policy for Cast to tv

Privacy Policy

Cast to TV & Screen Mirroring does not sell your data, does not show ads, and does not upload your screen, photos, videos or music to our servers. Your content travels only over your local Wi-Fi network, from your phone to the TV or browser you choose.

This policy is published by Shiv Fab ("we", "us"). It applies to the Android app available on Google Play. Effective date: 9 October 2026.

Information we collect

  • Media you choose to cast. When you open Photos, Videos or Music, the app reads files from your device so you can pick them and send them to your TV. These files stay on your device and on your local network. We never copy them to our servers.
  • Screen content while mirroring. After you accept Android's screen-capture prompt, the app captures your screen and streams it to the TV or browser you selected. Nothing is recorded or stored, and capture stops when you tap Stop Mirroring.
  • Local network and device information. The app scans your Wi-Fi network to find TVs and cast devices. It reads device names and local IP addresses only to show and connect to them. This list is kept on your phone.
  • Usage and diagnostics data. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to fix crashes. This may include app interactions, device model, Android version, app version, approximate country, an app-instance ID, the advertising ID where you allow it, and crash logs. It does not include your media or screen content.
  • Feedback you send. If you use Share Your Feedback, we receive the category, message and any contact details you choose to include.

We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or account login to use the app.
